The Civil Inspector will be responsible for overseeing the execution of civil works on-site, ensuring adherence to, project specifications, and quality standards. The role involves close supervision, monitoring of contractor activities, site inspections, 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Responsibilities:
  • Contractor Compliance:
    • Ensure the contractor complies with the specified standards, codes, and project requirements outlined in the contract documents.
  • Resource Monitoring:
    • Maintain accurate records of daily contractor resources, including manpower and equipment, deployed on-site.
  • Site Supervision and Inspections:
    • Perform routine site inspections and supervise activities as required by the RE or ARE to ensure the work progresses according to specifications.
  • Contractor Liaison:
    • Maintain regular communication with the contractor to monitor progress, manage site resources, ensure adherence to health and safety protocols, and confirm equipment availability.
  • Daily Reporting:
    • Prepare detailed daily reports for the RE or ARE, including work orders, materials delivery, and inspection schedules.
  • Implementation of Site Instructions:
    • Ensure that all site instructions issued by the RE or ARE are followed promptly and effectively.
  • Quality Control:
    • Enforce quality control procedures and monitor the application of quality standards on-site to guarantee compliance with project specifications
  • Coordination with Client:
    • Assist during client site inspections, ensuring the presence of the RE or ARE, and coordinate with the client project managers as needed.
  • QA/QC Monitoring:
    • Monitor the contractor’s quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes and maintain all necessary records of activities and results.
  • Issue Resolution:
    • Collaborate with the RE or ARE to identify and resolve site-related issues promptly, minimizing delays.

 

Qualification

 

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Civil Inspector in Infrastructure  construction projects.
  • Satisfactory  communication skills to liaise with contractors, engineers, and clients.
  • Ability to perform detailed inspections and maintain accurate documentation.

 

Experience

 

  • Minimum  8 years of experience as a Civil Inspector
  • Middle East experience preferred
  • Relevant experience in comparable infrastructure 
  • Familiarity with utilities and related works is required.
