Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with 5+ years in electrical infrastructure design, including significant exposure to street lighting, power distribution, and coordination (Etisalat) on GCC-based infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end design development of electrical systems for roads, highways, and public realm projects, ensuring full compliance with authority requirements and international standards.
Prepare detailed electrical design drawings for street lighting systems, LV distribution, telecom ducting (Etisalat), and infrastructure utility layouts.
Develop lighting designs including lux level calculations, pole spacing, and energy efficiency optimization.
Design and size power distribution networks, feeder pillars, main DBs, earthing systems, and cable routing for infrastructure projects.
Coordinate and design Etisalat infrastructure requirements, including telecom duct banks, manholes, and interface with Etisalat NOC.
Perform load calculations, voltage drop, short circuit, and protection analysis using tools like ETAP or Excel.
Prepare and review BOQs, technical specifications, material submittals, and method statements.
Ensure designs are fully compliant with GCC authority requirements (e.g., DEWA, SEWA, and Etisalat).
Liaise with consultants, utility providers, and government agencies for design approvals and NOCs.
Provide technical support during the construction, testing, and commissioning stages.
Review contractor/shop drawings and ensure design intent is preserved during implementation.
