Job Responsibilities

Design & Development

Meet with clients and design teams to determine project requirements, with a specific focus on pump station design and mechanical system applications.

Conduct research to support design decisions, selecting appropriate engineering methods particularly for pumps, piping systems, and hydraulic equipment.

Plan and execute mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, SolidWorks, Rhino, and 3D CAD tools.

Perform simulations, hydraulic calculations, and flow analyses to test and refine pump station designs.

Oversee the creation, assembly, and testing of physical prototypes, including pump components and mechanical assemblies.

Project Management & Coordination

Document the design process, design iterations, hydraulic calculations, and testing results comprehensively.

Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets for pump station and related mechanical projects.

Liaise with clients, designers, civil engineers, electrical engineers, and manufacturers to ensure coordination and successful project delivery.

Reporting & Documentation

Prepare detailed technical reports, pump station design specifications, O&M manuals, and engineering drawings.

Ensure all design documentation meets local and international engineering standards and best practices for pumping systems.

Continuous Improvement

Stay updated on advancements in mechanical engineering, pump technologies, hydraulic systems, and emerging mechanical design trends.

Technical Skills

Proficiency with CAD tools, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Microsoft Office.

Strong experience in pump station design, including pump selection, piping layout, hydraulic calculations, and equipment sizing.

Experience in engine design, particularly marine engines.

Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, including significant experience in pump station design.

Strong understanding of mechanical engineering design principles, hydraulic systems, and mechanical equipment.
