Description

The MEP Inspector is responsible for inspecting the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within road and infrastructure projects. This role ensures that all work meets contract specifications, approved shop drawings, and industry standards. The MEP Inspector will collaborate closely with site engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure systems are installed and function as per design.

 

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interface with clients and contractors to ensure that project requirements and specifications are met.
  • Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports and document the status of work on-site.
  • Conduct MEP system tests, including LV, HVAC, lighting, power, plumbing, sewage, fire detection, and fire fighting, ensuring they align with design specifications.
  • Inspect construction work to ensure it complies with approved shop drawings.
  • Verify that all construction activities comply with relevant authorities' regulations and standards.
  • Enforce strict health and safety standards on-site, ensuring all activities follow workplace safety protocols.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as necessary to support project completion.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Min 8 years of relevant experience, 4 years in infrastructure projects.
  • Strong experience in MEP inspection and supervision across multiple systems (LV, HVAC, lighting, power, plumbing, sewage, fire detection, and firefighting).
  • Experience working in the UAE, particularly Dubai.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong proficiency in written and verbal communication in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
