Description

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) with expertise in both pre-contract and post-contract functions to support our consultancy services on major infrastructure and construction projects. The QS will be responsible for cost planning, tender management, contract administration, and commercial management throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities

  • Preparation of cost estimates, budget forecasts, and detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
  • Preparation of tender documents, specifications, and contract conditions.
  • Conduct rate analysis, benchmarking, and market research for pricing accuracy.
  • Evaluate tenders, prepare comparison reports, and support in tender negotiations.
  • Advise the client on procurement strategies, risk allocation, and contract forms.

Post-Contract

  • Manage and monitor project costs against budget and contract provisions.
  • Review, evaluate, and certify the contractor’s interim payment applications.
  • Administer contract variations, claims, and change management.
  • Prepare financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and cost reports.
  • Support dispute resolution, including preparation of supporting documentation.
  • Provide final account settlement and close-out reports.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional membership (e.g., MRICS, AIQS, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum 5–7 years’ QS experience in UAE projects (roads & infrastructure highly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC and local UAE contract practices.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
