Description

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in traffic engineering, including experience with traffic impact assessments, traffic signal timing, and capacity analysis.
• UAE Experience is highly required
• Experience using traffic analysis software and CAD software for traffic engineering applications.
• Strong knowledge of transportation engineering principles, practices, and standards.

Traffic Engineer Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of traffic engineering principles, practices, and standards.
• Proficient in traffic analysis software, such as Synchro, Sidra, HCS and VISSIM.
• Familiarity with traffic signal timing software, such as TRANSYT and SIDRA.
• Ability to interpret and analyze traffic data using statistical methods and software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software for traffic engineering drawings.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement traffic management plans and strategies to optimize traffic flow and reduce congestion.
• Conduct traffic impact assessments for new developments and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Design and optimize traffic signal timings and phasing plans to maximize efficiency and minimize delays.
• Analyze traffic data and conduct traffic capacity analysis to identify bottlenecks and areas of improvement.
• Collaborate with transportation planners and engineers to develop sustainable transportation solutions.
• Conduct safety assessments and recommend measures to improve pedestrian and cyclist safety.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented traffic management measures and make necessary adjustments.
• Stay updated on the latest traffic engineering practices, regulations, and technology advancements.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and proposals for clients and stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and support to junior traffic engineering staff.
